National Take Your Daughter to the Range Day held it’s Inaugural Event June 9, 2012. They had 37 ranges across the country participate. This was such an amazing event, with wonderful support. At the founder’s local event everywhere you looked were big smiles, little girls clutching pink targets and very proud parents looking on. They all had an amazing day and can’t wait for next year!

Keep shooting, go back to the ranges that hosted events if you went to one so they know that their efforts were appreciated. If there wasn’t an event in your area, consider approaching a local range and let them know about this. We will start planning for next year after taking a couple weeks off. Next year will be the 3rd Sat in June. Mark your calendars!

A Brief History of How We Got Started:

NTYDTTRD came about after reading Julie Golob’s Book SHOOT, reading about how she grew up going to the range with her Dad, and then hearing from other women about going shooting with their parents and how much they enjoyed it.
